Sebring Interdenominational Holiness Campmeeting - 113th Encampment
Beth and I want to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas! May these days be filled with sweet memories of Christmases past, joy in the Christmas present, and hope for the new year to come. And may the realization of God with us in Jesus Christ be the heartbeat of your celebration.
For us, Christmas and Sebring Camp Meeting are the two great "markers" of our year. They are both "gathering" times for our family, and both, times of wonderful fellowship with friends.
For Beth and me, Sebring Camp, as most of you know, is the place where our relationship began, but even more so, it's the place where we recall our great spiritual heritage, and every year, we anticipate gaining higher ground with God. I know this is true for many of you as well.
As you well know, every engine needs fuel to keep it running. The great engine of Sebring Camp runs on several different "fuels": the prayers, the hard work, the faithfulness, and the financial giving of all of us. Yes, money is necessary, and giving it is a ministry and it facilitates the ministry of places like Sebring Camp Meeting.
This past summer, an anonymous donor presented Sebring Camp with a matching gift challenge. The challenge is for every dollar given over and above your regular giving to Sebring Camp (before December 31, 2017), the donor will match it up to a total raised of $10,000. Currently, total giving toward the match stands at $7,588.
I hope you will consider a gift here at year end to help meet this matching gift challenge. You can GIVE HERE online (choose the Matching Gift Challenge option), or mail your gift to Sebring Camp Meeting, P. O. Box 97, Sebring, OH, 44672. I know, if at all possible, you'll want to help the Camp take advantage of the wonderful opportunity presented by this anonymous donor. If you have ANY questions about this, please give me a call at 615-775-4526.
Then, just two more things I would ask of you. First, if you have family and friends who love Sebring Camp Meeting, would you Forward this Email to them? They may or may not have received it, but you can make sure they do. Thank you!
Finally, I would ask you to begin to pray now for Sebring Camp Meeting 2018. The dates areJuly 12-22, 2018. God will meet with us again on the old campgrounds, and lives will be changed - again - for all eternity!
Thanks again for your prayers, your faithfulness, and your giving. May God bless you and yours!
In the service of the newborn King,
Chuck and Beth Nutt
